Dr Lash Esau's grant writing experience began in 2013 by helping a nonprofit in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a grant from a community foundation. The $78,000 grant was awarded to help the organization purchase equipment to expand their program and community impact. Since then, she has successfully written grants of various sizes for different types of funders with a nearly 80% award rate.
